how would I go about writing a program to search previously viewed website pages for a given list of keywords? I thought to start by locating a url history folder. This is an imaginary folder I guess...I can't find it.

You can just hook into Internet Explorer's or Firefox's browser history folder and then perform your searches using that information.
You can then grab the HTML from that folder or just scrap the website again if you need to for some reason.
