It is kind of a silly question, but it seems sharepoint is a requirement for quit allot of jobs out there no?
How many of you guys are comfortable with sharepoint development?
It seems that if you have a solid grounding in asp.net 2.0, sharepoint development is basically learning the library right?
People seem to be paying big bucks for developers!
what do you guys think? is it as popular as it seems or it depends on where I am applying?

a lot of companies are going to it simply because they don't have to reinvent the wheel (or underlying website engine) for web site creation. Its a fairly extensible framework though personally I'd never use it. I think its a worthwhile thing to know in order to put on your resume.
