i'am little good in System.IO;
and what i'am eXactly asking is., can we operate in bit level.,
that is., tat' file format should not be read by any software rather than our's..!??
coding (or) logic (or) idea to proceed needed..!!

ya., for simple., just make the format extension along with file name and you could chk the string later for opening tat' file..,
it'will be simple and also have the feature to read from other s/w...
