Regarding a common advertisement seen on this site:
I was going to buy some "serious windows 2000 web hosting" from MaximumASP, but why does their ad have that super creepy guy staring at me. What web developer in their right mind looks at that advertisement and says, "Hmm, that guy sure is creeping me out -- maybe I should buy something from that company."
